Only Tom Ford can bring out a single shade of cream blush and make it the most perfect cream blush that ever existed. Here are my thoughts on the summer 2015 limited edition cream cheek color in pink sand from Tom Ford!
It’s a very balmy lightweight texture that is super easy to blend. You can literally take 2 fingers and dab it on and within 5 seconds it’s all blended and mimics blushing-from-within-skin. The final result is similar to what you will get from the NYX cream blush in glow (reviewed here). But here’s why the Tom Ford version is worth the money – it is the most long lasting cream blush I have ever worn and I have oily skin! I wore it at 8am and I noticed that it was as fresh as ever at 9pm! I can’t even…..!!
The color is a soft warm-ish pink with the prettiest golden microshimmer. When I blend it on the skin it makes my cheeks look healthy and rosy and it doesn’t accentuate the pores like some glittery blushes do. In fact the micro shimmer is so subtle you can’t really even tell but it gives the most gorgeous glow on the tops of your cheeks. In the above swatch, the Tom ford cheek color is the only thing on my cheeks. It definitely eliminates the need to add a highlighter.
I am in love and I do like several cream blushes but this one knocked my socks off. It’s the perfect most flattering shade for my NC20 skin, amazing blendability and most of all it doesn’t budge. I am considering getting a back up but I trust Mr. Ford would be kind enough to launch another color or two in fall/winter maybe?
Only downside I guess is that the color won’t show up if you’re darker than NC35/40 but you could still use it as a peachy gold cream highlight!
Have you tried any long lasting cream blushes?
