Since everyone’s been loving corals this season, I wanted to do a review of this lipstick. Now coral is tricky for my skin color and features. I am of Indian ethnicity with nc15 pale skin color which has a mix of yellow and pink untertones. Some coral shades can make me look too bright and kind of inappropriately garish and some corals can make my lips look pale and unnatural. Given my dark brows i cant carry off something neonish either even though that seems to be quite the trend.
So while I was at the Burberry counter (buying the Burberry sheer foundation), I tried out this color and immediately fell for it. Before I review the product …… Can I just say….. OMG LOOK at the god damn gorgeous packaging!!!!

Burberry Primrose Hill Picnic lipstick

It’s a color that livens up my skin without looking too neon.

The formula is gorgeous and light-weight. It’s opaque in one swipe, extremely smooth and moisturizing and lasts way longer on my lips than the Chanel coco shines. The burberry lip covers are not marketed as the “sheer balmy lip colours” cos this is definitely not sheer :p but they definitely are as comfortable on the lips as some of the best sheer balmy lip color brands on the market. The color is part of the Burberry beauty spring 2012 collection and costs S$43 at tangs or US$30 at

The packaging is, in my opinion, the most beautiful of ALL brands including Chanel, Dior and YSL. The chic check design shouts understated sophistication. The magnetic cap is just the cherry on the cake. And the fragrance is the same as the foundation. I have no way to describe it besides saying that if I found that scent in a bottle I’d purchase it in a heart beat. It’s light, clean and very feminine without being too floral or fruity.

So if you’re in the mood to indulge , go ahead and get one of these lipsticks. It’s definitely my favorite for the season. And considering it’s always sunny in Singapore, I know for a fact I’m gonna use it a lot during the entire year.

Ciao! 🙂 🙂
